Green Beans in Garlic Sauce
1 pound green beans, whole
2 tablespoons butter, or margarine
1 teaspoon minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
Over medium heat, boil the green beans in a 10-inch skillet, until they are just tender.
Drain the beans and return to the skillet.
Add the remaining ingredients and cook for an additional 2 or 3 minutes.
Used as a side dish, this recipe makes about 4 servings
Green Bean and Onion Salad
1 pound green beans, whole
1 small red onion, diced thin
2 teaspoons of red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Green Beans and Ham
2 cans (10 oz. ea.) Campbell's chicken broth
5 oz. can of Hormel chunk style ham, flaked with a fork
1 lb. fresh green beans
In a 2 quart saucepan, combine the chicken broth and the ham. Cook 2-3 minutes.Add the green beans to the soup and ham mixture and allow to simmer gently (uncovered) until the green bean are soft. Serves 6

Steam 'em and then toss with Italian dressing. Serve hot or cold. Add crisp bacon crumbles if desired.
