1 (26oz) can cream of mushroom soup

1 cup milk (if you put it in the oven)

2 Tablespoons soy sauce (3 if you do stove top and no milk)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

2 pks (16oz each) frozen green beans (4-15oz cans drained)

2 2/3 cup French's French fried onions

Bake at 350F degrees for 45 minutes with 2/3 cup onion mixed in. Then add the rest of the onion and bake 15 minutes more.

Stove top: Omit milk and stir in 1 1/3 cup of the onion. Simmer (low, slow boil) for 15-20 minutes. Add rest of onion on top and cook another 5-10 minutes. (This is Campbell's recipe I altered to our taste.)

1 bag of frozen green beans (or 2 cans of green beans)

1 can of cream of mushroom

1 can of french fried onions

salt and pepper

in a bowl mix the grean beans, cream of mushroom, 3/4 can french fried onions, salt and pepper (to your liking), and 3/4 cup of milk. Spoon into a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle remaining onions on top and bake for 5 minutes more.

That's it. This is the basic recipe. You can add things to it, like mushrooms, etc.
2 cans of green beans

1 can mushroom soup

1/2 soup can of milk

1 can french fried onion rings

salt and pepper

Mix beans, mushroom soup and milk, 1/2 can of onion rings and add salt and pepper, put in casserole dish and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the remainder of the onion rings on top and bake an additional 10 minutes. Enjoy!

Did you want the original Campbell's Soup version? Or did you want the more refined version that doesn't use soup?

The Campbell's Soup version is rather ubiquitous. So, here is the ';from scratch'; (soupless) version.
