What is your favorite green bean holiday recipe?

Mos def Green Bean Casserole!!





2 Cans of green beans (drained)


1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup


2 Cups of bacon (cooked and chopped)


1 pat of butter


1 Can of French's Onion Rings





Cook this for about 30-45. Then add the onion rings on top and bake for another 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.





Sometimes i like to mix the onion rings inside and on top of the casserole (may have to buy another can just depends on how much you like the fried onion rings..quite tasty!!) Hope this helps!!What is your favorite green bean holiday recipe?



Green Beans with Pork





1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed, rinsed, and cut in 1 1/2-inch pieces


1 quart (4 cups) water


1/4 pound diced salt pork or 1 ham hock


1/4 teaspoon salt


dash sugar





Put water in a 2-quart saucepan; add diced salt pork. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Add green beans, salt, and sugar; cover and cook green beans over medium heat for about 30 minutes, or until green beans are tender


serves 4.

First of all I hate that green bean casserole thing, its just gross to me. Everyone looks at me lie ive lost my mind when I tell them, bu hey its how it is.


But this is awesome!


SAUTEED GREEN BEANS WITH MUSHROOMS





1 lb. green beans, cleaned %26amp; trimmed


1/2 lb. mushrooms, cleaned %26amp; thinly sliced


2 tbsp. pine nuts or walnuts


1 1/2 tbsp. olive oil


1 1/2 tbsp. butter


1 clove garlic, minced


1/4 tsp. salt


Pepper to taste


2 tsp. dried dill


1/2 tsp. lemon juice





Cut beans in half and drop into large pot of boiling water. Boil 6 to 7 minutes. Drain and drop into pan of ice water until chilled. Wrap in paper towels and store in plastic bag in refrigerator until ready to use.





In a large skillet, heat 1/2 of the oil and butter, over medium high heat. Add mushrooms and minced garlic, sauteing quickly until mushrooms are lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate.





Heat remaining oil and butter in same skillet over medium heat. Add green beans and pine nuts. Add salt and pepper and saute until heated through - about 5 minutes. Stir in mushrooms, dill and lemon juice and serve.
What about green bean cassarole?


2 cans of green beans


1 can of cream of mushroom mixed as directed


cook at 350 for 30 min.sprinkle with french's fried onions mmm mmm good.





Or Green beans cooked in a skillet with olive oil (I like Colivita) and


season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with almonds.



You take a can of green beans, dump it into a pan, and heat them up.





I don't get these wierd green bean recipes that people trot out once or twice a year, with mushroom soups, almonds, and those greasy battered onion ring pieces. Just gimme da beans.
Fresh green beans, blanched in hot water for about 5 minutes. Drain. Saute with olive oil, shallots, minced garlic - seasoned with salt, pepper, butter and a splash or two of white wine.
