On the back of the green beans, on the back of the fried onions can or the back of the mushroom soup can.... Oh, that is the recipe... ha ha!
The fried onions always has the recipe on the back. It is gooooood. Try it...Good luck.
anywhere, but they are basic and simple. Strain a can of stingbeans, spray glass baking pan with PAM or similar item, open and add can of Cream of soup...more personal flavor..Cream mushroom, chicken, celery - there are quite a few - into the glass bowl. Add green beans, and the fried onions from Frenchs, stir into stiff and moist, not soupy or watery...if it is add somemore strained GB's or onions, bake at 350 untill top starts to brown, then if desired top with shredded cheese, you pick the flavor- bake a little more untill cheese is fully melted and JUST starting to brown. DO NOT BURN THE CHEESE!
I went and searched for this exact recipe yesturday. I tried to find one that had a lot of the items I already had in my home. I succeeded. Here's a recipe that's VERY simple and easy with very little ingredients. I hope this helps you out. Happy Thanksgiving!

INGREDIENTS:

* 2 pkgs frozen green beans, thawed, (10 ounce each)

* 3/4 cup milk

* 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, or cream of celery

* salt and pepper, to taste

* 1 1/2 cups French-Fried onions

PREPARATION:

In a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole, combine all ingredients except 3/4 cup of French-fried onions. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Top with remaining French-fried onions. Bake 5 minutes, or until onions are golden. Serves 6.
You can find them absolutely everywhere.

My version is simple and yummy.

One can of cut green beans - drained.

One can of cream of mushroom soup.

One large can of french fried onion rings.

Pour the drained beans in your casserole dish. Pour the soup over them and mix with a spatula. Pour the onion rings into your hands and squeeze each handful once to break up into pieces. Use your spatula to mix the onions into the beans and soup. Remember to save about 1/3 of the large can for a topping. Add a little pepper to season.

Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Take it out of the oven add the rest of the onion rings all over the top and put back into the oven for about 5 minutes or until almost dark brown. Will feed 4 people.

You can double the ingredients for a bigger batch. Cook about 10 minutes longer.

Don't add milk - it thins the soup out too much. I like my casserole thick and rich. The secret ingredient is adding all the onion rings.

Every month we have a pot luck at work and I'm always asked to bring my green bean casserole. People can't figure out why mine tastes better than other peoples.

Good luck

* 2 cloves garlic, minced

* 2 teaspoons minced thyme leaves

* 5 medium shallots, sliced (about 1 1/3 cups)

* 3/4 cup flour for dusting shallots

* 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

2. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. When oil is hot and shimmering, add mushrooms and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Saut茅, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are brown on edges, about 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.

3. Combine green beans, mushroom mixture, b茅chamel sauce, and thyme in a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Transfer into a 2-1/2-quart baking dish and set aside.

4. Dust sliced shallots in flour and shake off excess. Set aside.

5. Pour vegetable oil into a large 10-inch frying pan (should be 1 inch deep). Heat over medium-high heat to 350掳F, about 4 minutes.

6. Fry shallots in batches, until light golden brown on edges, about 2 minutes. Remove to a paper-towel-lined plate and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

7. Top casserole with fried shallots and bake in oven until shallots are golden and crispy and casserole is bubbly and heated through, about 12 to 15 minutes.
